The Government Gazette has been published in Macao since 5 September 1838 up to the present, with some interruptions.*

The Government Gazette is consulted in the Reading Room via microfilm of either the originals held in the Historical Archives of Macao up to 2004, or microfilms of some missing issues sourced from other archives, and on paper for issues after 2004.
