Reproduction Services

You must register before you can request any reproductions. The guidelines for requests are listed below.

The Macao Historical Archives collection consists of original, unique materials in a variety of media, formats, and conditions. To ensure proper reproduction, care and handling of archival materials, please note the following:

  1. Only Registered Researchers may request reproductions.
  2. Reproduction requests should be made at the Reception Desk.
  3. Only non-reserved archival materials may be reproduced.
  4. Reproduction must be done by archive staff.
  5. Reproduction must observe copyright laws.
  6. If the reproduction of archival material is requested for any purpose other than research or private study, the researcher must declare this on the “Reproduction Request” and provide the relevant authorisation before the request can be processed.
  7. The charges for reproductions, published in Despacho SASC 09/2006, are exhibited at the Reception Desk.
  8. Small amounts of photocopying may be carried out immediately if archive staff time permits.
  9. When a large amount of photocopying is requested, archive staff shall schedule the work so that it does not interfere with their duties, while endeavouring to meet the researcher’s needs.
  10. Archives staff will inform the researcher of the estimated cost of the photocopying on request.
  11. Archives staff will notify you when the reproduction request is ready. Please come to receive and pay for them immediately.
