“Where the World Heritage Shines – Photography Exhibition of the Historic Centre of Macao” unveiled in Guimarães, Portugal 26/06/2017 Exhibition
Jointly organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region (IC, from the Portuguese acronym), the City Hall of Guimarães and the Vila Flor Cultural Centre of Guimarães, the opening ceremony of “Where the World Heritage Shines – Photography Exhibition of the Historic Centre of Macao” and a talk on the Historic Centre of Macao and Guimarães were held successfully at the Vila Flor Palace in Guimarães, Portugal, on 23 June 2017.

“Where the World Heritage Shines – Photography Exhibition of the Historic Centre of Macao”, jointly organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region, the Municipality of Guimarães and the Vila Flor Cultural Centre, will be inaugurated on Friday, 23 June 2017, at 6:30pm, at the Vila Flor Palace in Guimarães, Portugal.
Meeting of the General Council of Archives 13/06/2017
The General Council of Archives of the Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) held its first meeting in 2017 in the Auditorium of the Cultural Affairs Bureau at Tap Siac Square on 9 June, to discuss the creation of a unit and allocation of human resources for records management in public departments. Mr Leung Hio Ming, President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, was the acting chairperson of the meeting.
Inauguration of “Macao Illustrated - Exhibition of City Plans and Architectural Drawings from the Macao Archives’ Collection” 09/06/2017 Exhibition
To celebrate “China Cultural and Natural Heritage Day” and the “International Archives Day”, the Archives of Macao (AM) under the auspices of Cultural Affairs Bureau will organize the exhibition “Macao Illustrated - Exhibition of City Plans and Architectural Drawings from the Macao Archives’ Collection” from 10 June to 3 December 2017. The exhibition was inaugurated on Friday, 9 June, at 6pm, at the Archives of Macao. The opening ceremony was officiated by the Vice President of the Cultural Affairs Bureau, Chan Peng Fai; the President of the Fellow Members Council of the Architects Association of Macau, Carlos Marreiros; and the architect of cultural heritage, Lui Chak Keong.

“Where the World Heritage Shines – Photography Exhibition of the Historic Centre of Macao”, jointly organized by the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government and the Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre of the Ministry of Education and Science of Portugal was successfully inaugurated on 8 March 2017 at the Macao Scientific and Cultural Centre in Lisbon.
Exhibition “Shanghai Portuguese Refugees in Macao (1937-1964)” unveiled in Guimarães 08/03/2017 Exhibition
The opening ceremony of the exhibition “Shanghai Portuguese Refugees in Macao (1937-1964)”, organized by the Macao Archives under the auspices of Cultural Affairs Bureau, as well as the launching of the publication Refugiados de Xangai. Macau (1937-1964) by Portuguese historian Professor Alfredo Gomes Dias, was held successfully in the Alfredo Pimenta Municipal Archives of the Municipality of Guimarães, in Portugal, on 3 March 2017.
“Where the World Heritage Shines – Photography Exhibition of the Historic Centre of Macao” opens in Lisbon in March 27/02/2017 Exhibition
A cooperation protocol signed between the Cultural Affairs Bureau of the Macao Special Administrative Region and the Macao Scientific and Cultural Centre of the Ministry of Education and Science of Portugal in 2015 marked the establishment of a significant platform for Luso-Chinese cultural exchange.

The exhibition “Shanghai Portuguese Refugees in Macao (1937-1964)”, organized by the Macao Archives under the auspices of Cultural Affairs Bureau, will be held in the Alfredo Pimenta Municipal Archives of the Municipality of Guimarães, in Portugal. The exhibition’s opening ceremony will be held on Friday, 3 March 2017, at 6pm (local time). On the same day, the documentary book “Refugiados de Xangai. Macau (1937-1964)” edited by Portuguese historian Professor Alfredo Gomes Dias will also be launched.
